This has become one of my favorite thriller and book of the year. I will never forget the rush it gave me when I read it and it seriously shook me to the core. I like to write it without disclosing much because it will definitely spoil your experience.

After a long time, I got to reacquaint with my Eddie. The very first line made me laugh out loud. I was thankful for him because his POV soothed me after reading some horrifying things.

I loved how they found out most of the things with little or no evidence available. The arrest thing and the cash stunt were by far my most favorite things done by Eddie. I want more books in this series. Please don't end it.

Bloch has stole my heart with her fearless nature. The way she stood when the deputy swung the stick gave me goosebumps. Hell, she didn't even flinch at that. She's definitely a badass.

The thing with the novel is that I knew the killer and knew most of the things that happened. Still, it kept me at the edge of the seat. It gave me heart attacks and It was horrifying to read some POV's especially that Randal Korn. He's a devil in disguise. Most of the persons in this novel are.

I learned some information from this novel. Like the five prosecutors putting 440 people to their death. Which terrified me.

ah yes, another one of mr. cavanagh's clever courtroom thrillers. there were ups and downs, some dull moments, some sharp ones, a bit more murders than were really necessary, but everything pulled through nicely by the end. despite the tiring cult arc, which always bores me to death, the courtroom scenes were executed well, and mr. flynn and co. delivered fantastically. I truly only enjoyed  the trial itself, which made the background scenes that lead up to it bearable. at the end of the day, its all about eddie flynn, and the man never disappoints.

This book gave me physical chills. I enjoyed the suspense but the story made me so angry (and uncomfortable). I hated more characters in this installment than I did in any of the previous books.

That said; Eddie Flynn is probably one of my favorite fictional characters right now. I also really like Kate, she’s smart and I like that she’s different from Flynn but not by much. I also enjoyed reading/hearing more from the supporting characters in this. I think it gave the story some depth that may have been missing otherwise.

Overall, this is a great book. Steve Cavanagh hasn’t missed, so far.
