This book.. wow! I’m in tears . This book is so well done ! Francine captures Gods love for the broken and weary so well in Sarah’s story of redemption. This will now be a favorite and I will re-read it for years to come!

My favorite book of all time. I admit the western theme in the beginning of the book threw me off but once I got past that and began absorbing the characters I was completely hooked. This love story of God's grace and continual forgiveness is so beautifully written that you can literally envision yourself being in the room with the characters. The author has an amazing talent for taking biblical stories and expanding the narrative to include details and context that make the story come alive to the reader. A true love story in every sense of the word.

An amazing, powerful story. Beautiful allegory of the Gospel.

a great way to make a biblical story really come alive.

Listened to this one (glad I didn't read it; I don't think I would have liked it, a little slow).
This was good - read it because friends said it was the best. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. A lot of the characters fell flat. But I do realize / recognize that this is based on a biblical story, so that influenced it a lot. Still a great showing of God's love for his children.

I would give this one 10 stars if I could!

A lovely spiritual exercise for Christians, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't one.

I liked it. I've read better books, but this was good.

This book is well written, but it is pure fantasy and propaganda. Also, I don’t care how it ended, Paul is still trash. I can’t properly rate this though because it has a lot of weirdo and problematic themes to be a “Christian” novel. It reminds me more of Dark Romance…
