Overall it was a good idea, but it was very drawn out. Lots of repetition.
I was completely pulled into this book & I loved it SO much! My heart melted for the love and kindness this man showed her. This may be one of the best romance books I’ve ever read.
A great book that shows God's unconditional love for us.
The pacing was awkward, characters unrelatable and faith elements felt unrealistic. Not impressed.
Definitely look up CW/TW for this book.
Wowowooww. Looooved this. Somehow it had a lot of elements I usually have a hard time with like it being so tragic and dramatic and messy, and our main character doesn’t believe she deserves happiness and I still loved every moment of it!!!
Michael is the best man ever. This book is the definition of a gray area, every character has their flaws and struggles. While it made everything messier it was so realistic and it made their individual growth and forgiveness of each other so profound.

10 HEART-WARMING STARS
Francine Rivers' novel "Redeeming Love" wrecked me and then build me up anew! What a life-altering story! I'm assaulted with so much emotions right now that I can't seem to put order in my head. This book sucks you in from the very first sentence and holds your heart hostage till the very end. I haven't read anything so profound in a long time. And although some parts of the book left me hurt, shivering and deeply distraught I couldn't stop myself from reading on - it was like a self-imposed torture at times.
The characters were amazing and so very human. I LOVED and envied Micheal's never ending patience and ever giving heart! He was a saint and truly the best hero I've read on paper! I loved how he cared for Sarah and how her character evolved and grew throughout the story. How she came to open her heart and eyes for all that was always there, just within her reach. How she freed herself from the darkness by learning to let go of the past and truly love.
This story of self-discovery, unconditional love, faith and forgiveness is the true definition of a masterpiece and will live with me forever.

An incredibly powerful story with many take-aways. Rivers does an astounding job with her character development and incorporating God's character and Truth throughout. Couldn't put it down!
4 stars for the lesson on Divine love and devotion, but only 2 stars for the over-angsty storyline. I get that it was meant to parallel the story of Gomer and Hosea from the Bible (and it's not unbelievable), but I don't have much tolerance for melodrama, even in the romance genre. But I did care about the characters and was touched by their relationship.

This book was absolutely wonderful. Francine Rivers made me feel so much - joy, compassion, fear, sadness, and then joy again. I will forever recommend this book to everyone.
