I liked this book. I enjoyed the plot and it gives hallmark movie vibes ( I love Hallmark Movies periodically).
I also enjoyed bits and pieces about how nothing but literary masterpieces were published by Pennington Publishing.
A solid four star in my opinion, it did it’s job i enjoyed it and it makes me want to read more of the author

This was very sweet and had a wonderful premise. If you're looking for something steamy or diverse, this is neither. I liked the personalities of the characters.

Unfortunately this was a HUGE miss for me. Savannah’s family dynamics were comically and astronomically awful, and I found the ex-boyfriend-now-engaged-to-sister so repulsive that it overshadowed my whole reading experience. There was also some weird/casual fatphobia, including internalized by Savannah.

Will’s characterization seemed inconsistent, and I felt no chemistry between him and Savannah. The segue from “brutal editorial notes” to “lovey sticky notes” made no sense.

There were other things that bothered me but I’ve already archived this book out of my brain.

Also, nothing meaningful happens until like 60% of the way into the book.

This is ADORABLE! Books about books just do it for me. The singular reason I can’t give it 5 stars is that there’s no spice. I waited the whole book for them to defile that arc room closet and it never happened 😭 but it’s okay I still love this
