Truly the worst yet. Sad poor boy who is now rich but still holds a grudge is instantly in love with hot rich girl from his past who actually has a heart?! Ridiculous and silly, I need to read the next one immediately

I loved Going Down Hard it is the 3rd book in the Billionaire Bad Boys Series. This book is Derek West and Cassie Storm’s story. The good news is that you can read each book in this series as a standalone. So, if you should start reading this series you won’t have to worry about a huge cliffhanger and you will get an HEA. Yet all the books are intertwined.

Derek grew up as the maid’s son and they were poor. Cassie grew up rich and the family that Derek’s parents worked for. Cassie has a moment where she really disappoints Derek. After the disappointment and embarrassed they both go off to college. Guess what? Derek is now a self-made billionaire and the last he saw of Cassie was that day of his disappointment. And, so the story goes from here. I won’t say more but, this is a second chance romance and I loved their story. I love that Derek raised his status from poor to RICH! And, that Cassie really is a nice girl not one of the mean girls from school. Oh, and did I mention the hotness factor between Cassie and Derek. I look forward to the more books in this series and for that matter books by Carly Phillips.

I give Going Down Hard 4.5 Stars and I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Received a free arc for an honest review.
I really love all of the books I have read my Carly Phillips and this one did not disappoint. Derek and Cassie knew each other as teenagers . Derek was the helps son and Cassie was the rich girl. Derek thinks Cassie is a snotty spoiled rich girl but is he wrong. Fast forward 12 year later when the meet again . Derek is now a billionaire with his sites on revenge . Will this change , are they destined for each other or are other forces coming into play .
I can not say enough good things a out this book. I loved the story line , the characters and the love .It was a great read and I read it in one sitting.
Side note I want to throat punch Spencer and then I would probably want to do it again.

4.5 Second Chance Stars!
This third book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series is another hot and sexy forbidden romance. Derek was the servants son and Cassie is the privileged daughter. They were attracted to each other as youths but a misunderstanding stood in the way of acting on it. Now years later they meet again with hidden agendas. When they get to know each other again, the sparks fly, and they realize they aren't who they thought they were. I love both Derek and Cassie. They are strong, determined, and loyal and their chemistry is explosive. I love that they work through their differences to see the truth without adding lots of angst. There are a few twists and turns that add some suspenseful moments to this sweet and very hot and sexy romance. I am really enjoying this series and am excited to see how Ms. Phillips redeems Julian in the next book!

ARC Review: Going Down Hard (Billionaire Bad Boys) by Carly Phillips

Cassie is the good girl who has never met a rule she didn't follow. Derek is the outsider with a grudge to settle. Going Down Hard is a story of betrayal, honor and forgiveness. Derek has come a long way from being the son of a gardener and maid. Now, the bitter boy has become a wealthy man with revenge in his heart and lust on his mind. Cassie is a ghost he can't ignore. Her family has caused his nothing but pain, yet he still craves her. Can he let go of the pain of the past to make a life with his enemy's daughter? Or will shocking revelations shatter their second chance? Ms. Phillips doesn't shy away from complications. She uses them toward her advantage and excels. As seductive as it is revealing.

I love Carly Phillips, and this series. Derek is a self-made man and the one woman he wants is the one who wouldn't give him the time of day. Now her family's company is in trouble, and he has the means to help. He thought once he had her, that would be it, but he quickly found out that he wanted more. He will never have enough of her.

This book was great! I loved the chemistry between Derek and Cassie. The story didn't feel rushed and the characters captured your attention. It blended a sweet love story with steam, and left you satisfied. I highly recommend this book. You need to one click today. 4.5 stars!!

For Cassie Storms and Derek West, the past means different things. For Derek, there is humiliation. For Cassie, there is embarrassment and shame. But what they share is the desire to rise above their pasts and succeed, to make a different life and to right past wrongs.

Derek is truly a self-made man. He's risen from a past that left him always wanting more for himself and those he loved to become one of the three creators and owners of Blink, a hugely successful app. He is in a position of making a difference for himself and his family. He's driven in large part by revenge, and it's aimed at Cassie and her family. He's determined to make them know what it feels like to lose everything that they love, and he has the means to do it.

Cassie is so much more than Derek expected. She's far from the princess that he believed her to be. Cassie wants nothing more than to take the business started by her beloved grandfather and make it great, to use it for the good. And she's willing to eat crow and take the step to engage Derek, the first step in her plan for success.

Carly Phillips has the magic touch when giving us a second-chance love with a twist. She's a mistress of taking a relationship that ended badly and allowing the characters to find each other again, to work through the trials of their pasts, and to move forward to their HEA. She also knows how to bring the serious heat, because her reads are nothing short of sizzling.

I've enjoyed all of the books in Carly's Billionaire Bad Boys series, and was looking forward to Derek's story. It's a bit of a Cinderella story, but, rather than seem like something that I've seen too many times before, Carly's take is fresh and entertaining, and one that I savored from start to finish. I sometimes have issue with the whole idea of insta-love, and things did heat up quickly for these two, but I consider their an extension, if you will, because their interest in each other was interrupted by life way back when.

Strong women, the men that love them, and plenty of love to go around. What's not to love? GOING DOWN HARD is an easy 4.5 stars for me, and a great addition to this series, which I highly recommend. Need something for your TBR? You've found it. Happy reading!

Derek West & Cassie Storms had history. He was the gardener and maid son at Cassie's home. Cassie was from a very wealthy family but she was never a snotty rich girl. Derek always had a crush on her and they shared a kiss one night. Things didn't go as planned afterwards and they each went off to college.

Many years later Derek is a billionaire and Cassie works for her family media company. She reaches out to Derek to interview him and he only accepted with the intentions of humiliating her the same way he thought she did with her friends back when they were younger. But when he saw her everything went out the window and they both couldn't deny their attraction.

Their relationship picked up but of course had bumps in the road and people that still thought that Derek was below Cassie for example her a$$hole of a brother Spencer. But in the end things turned out for the best.

Cassie was a heroine that held her own even though her father treated her terrible and didn't think women can run a company. Derek was all alpha.
