The Distance Between Us

A light fluffy read, but not too fluffy, and not to "I want to throw things at them because they're being daft", but still a little "of course this works" and "yeah, that was a little easy". I liked it, but didn't love it. It wrapped up the ending neatly and tidily, but I'm not entirely sure it wasn't too neat and tidy (except for the parts that are wide open).

Just what I needed right now! A cutesy contemporary romance that you read so quickly just because you don't want to put it down. I feel like it could've definitely gone on longer but this happens quite often with Contemporary romances sadly. I loved the plot and Caymen and Xander's relationship. All the characters were so well defined and I loved it. If you like Stephanie Perkins' writing, you'll love Kasie West's. I'm so happy I finally picked this up!

Whoops, I finished this in a single sitting. Kacie West books are so good for just bringing something pretty lighthearted. I'd say this was my 2nd favorite Kacie West book so far.

Oh dear. It's another one of those life-and-death-crisis-that-makes-sense-only-to-the-author-and-characters book. The Distance Between Us is a typical YA novel bordering on Mills and Boon-esque with the predictability of its plot. I did appreciate the sarcasm that seems to be the only redeeming feature of the book, though I thought it would have been better appreciated live. I did find the idea of working in a doll shop day in and day out creepy, so I sympathise with Caymen on that one. Oh, and if I heard one more sorry comment about the Cayman Islands, I would have set the book on fire. Every copy of it (though I have only one...). I get that its difficult to create conflict in any romance/YA novel without misunderstandings, but I seriously wish authors would come up with new ways to do so, instead of the push and pull with I'm no good for him and he's got someone else ploy.(Sighs). Otherwise, this was an OK way to pass time.

Such a sweet and funny story! You'll never be disappointed by a Kasie West novel!

Interestingly cliché, I think this is the first of the many books I will be reading from Kasie West.

I really enjoyed the plot of this story. It was super cute and I loved Xander's character. I found Cayman's character to be extremely annoying at times and her sense of humor irritated me. I really liked the story though and I actually got emotional at times.

Loved this one!
