I've had an absolutely crap kind of day, and this book ended in such a way as to help me at least smile a little bit. I love reading protagonists who are sarcastic as hell, and West wrote it very well here. Add in a rich family who doesn't suck? And yeah, I was hooked. This is clearly a realistic fiction fairy tale but that's how it charmed me. I hope I never get to the point in my life where I don't appreciate a tale that's designed to make people happy and encourage dreaming.
Also, I really want to try those blueberry muffins.

This was fun and witty, very enjoyable. I really liked Caymen, only wished her name would not have been Caymen because it sounds ridiculous in my head and I couldn't picture her with that name. It was a sweet short read.
4.5 stars. Loved it, but the ending seemed too... perfect and quick. But that's a minor problem.
I almost wanted to give this book 3 stars, because there wasn't anything inherently wrong with it, it just wasn't my thing. I guess I should have never followed Kasie West's perfection in a novel, On The Fence with this, because it was never going to live up. In fact, it made me like the other book more. But this wasn't bad, like I said, but I can see myself giving it a 3 today because I'm thinking it's better than other books I've read and given a three, but in a few months I'll think back and decide it really didn't stand out. It didn't. Maybe I'm just tired of the rich-poor story line. It's not that big a deal people.
There really isn't any particular reason for my low rating of this one, except that it just bored me. I didn't really like any of the characters, the plot seemed to be going nowhere, even during the big dramatic parts, and there were lazy subplots. I read it in a few hours, and have no real criticism for the book apart from that I just didn't really enjoy reading it.
I loved every word of this story. Such a great one.
This was a cute contemporary read, although I do prefer On The Fence of the Kasie West contemps I've read so far. Picturing the doll store was a little creepy (just me?), and I was not the biggest fan of Caymen's voice. I get that she was under a lot of pressure, and took on more responsibility than most teens her age would, but she made some pretty immature decisions, and her snark sometimes slid over the line from "sarcasm" into "bitter." A little more backstory to explain why she and her mom were so biased against rich people would have been helpful; as it was, that particular "obstacle" felt kinda forced. I did like Xander most of the time – I enjoyed that he was confident without being belligerent, and that he was very supportive of Caymen without pushing for more from her.
I loved the love story in this book between Came in and The boy she chooses, I definitely agree with her choice, I would have picked him as well, what a great guy! This is the second book I have read from this author, and it definitely will not be the last. Loved this book! Everything about it, the setting of the doll shop, the fabulous characters, the little twist at the end. What a fantastic read!Pay attention authors this is how to do a love triangle, very subtle, very realistic, and very over with quickly.
