I’ve read this series twice, once when I was 8? and once a couple years later. It’s been such a long time, but THIS SERIES. This series was what got me into reading.
From what I remember this book was my favorite. I looked up to Alex so much, but I think if I read it again I would’ve been more fond of Conner. I was engaged every page of this series.
(And I do remember crying at the end of the 6th book.)
Only one book has made me, teenage me, feel the way kid me felt reading this series. Enchanted. Thank you, Chris Colfer, for making my childhood.

...Why doesn't the Masked Man just write a book of villains who would do anything for him, and then use the potion? Why hasn't he worked on such a thing for the past ten years in which he has been imprisoned? I don't know about this one.

My 7 year old and read this together and she said she liked all the details given and that they expanded into other stories, not just fairytales. We didn’t love the cliffhanger at the end though.
