I bought book 1 and 2 when it came out because I was honestly excited to read these books. They seemed super cool and I loved the idea of the galaxies and how they live. The story was full of adventure and at the same time it did tick by slowly. I did enjoy this book but it wasn't the greatest story ever. This tale is definitely from a wild imagination.

Non ho davvero parole per questo libro. All'inizio ero un po' scettica ma poi addentrandomi nel pieno della narrazione non riuscivo più a staccarmi. I personaggi sono qualcosa di meraviglioso Akos poi cuore mio, ma anche Cyra non vedevo una così bella caratterizzazione da tanto tempo. Un ottimo lavoro, di gran lunga superiore alla saga di Divergent.

QUANDO ESCE IL SEGUITO?
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this was a pleasant surprise. The world was unique and I loved the politics and powers at play. Cyra and Akos were endearing apart and together and I loved watching the evolution of their relationship. It's a brutal world and I'm curious to see where the current will take our heroes next.

Carve the mark wasn't what I expected. Did I love it? Not really. However, I found that I eventually connected with the characters and felt for them deeply. It's hard not to compare it to the masterpiece of divergent. This was a lot slower pacing and not as good. This book could've been a lot better if it was executed a bit better. I didn't notice the controversy in this book. I'll read the sequel because I love the characters but I just feel like this fell flat and I hope it gets better in book 2.
