Continuing Lilly's story and I'm here for it! As much as I've come to like some of the other characters in this series Lilly is still my favorite.

Omegas are treated poorly in this universe, because of the warfare and poverty and everything else going on in this world, it’s not even the shittest deal in this fictional world. I guess that’s worth mentioning. This is a dark universe and you kind of have to desensitize to nonconsent (sexual, medical, drafted alpha soldiers, it goes on), constant rape threats, and humanoid experimentation.

It’s dark, but if you’re looking for that, this is a quick read that goes interesting places with the alpha/omega dynamic and light scifi atmosphere. This is a fun series. The books are loosely connected. You’d benefit from reading them all, but it’s not mandatory and you can pick out books that appeal to you while skipping others.

This is the third book featuring Lilly, Ethan and Ryker and cannot be read stand alone. Lilly is an omega whose dynamic revealed itself very late, long after the point at which she had become an independent and self-sufficient woman. She was determined to avoid the control of an alpha for as long as possible but the war with The Uncorrupted puts paid to those plans. Now Lilly finds herself with not one but two alphas, alphas who are also Controllers. Like all later revealing omegas she has a singularity, a "gift" although Lilly's is more like a curse, especially as the uniqueness of it has caught the interest of some very unpleasant people.

Somehow the author has managed to craft an omega who is totally enamoured with her alpha's - though perhaps not so pleased about their punishments - whilst still retaining an air of strength and independence. In part this has been achieved by Lilly accepting and even embracing her fate because she doesn't lie to herself about how much she enjoys what they do. Ethan in particular also seems to demonstrate a great respect for Lilly's achievements and her ambitions. If only he thought to trust her with some of his secrets!

A foolish decision to trust someone who was once close to her leaves Lilly in a horrific situation. We do experience some of her suffering, but for those who require trigger warnings it isn't too graphic, nor are there any non-consent sexual encounters. Ethan and Ryker come into their own during this time, and whilst we've already seen Lilly undergo personal growth this is where we see the men mature emotionally.

The previous book introduced us to more of this world but this book really threw the doors open wide. It was great to see some familiar faces turn up to help save the day. Whilst I loved catching up with them I'm not sure if I cared for having scenes from their POV thrown into the mix. I appreciate the author was probably allowing us to catch up with these couples in real time and there was no way these scenes could have been epilogues in earlier books as that would have made spoilers for this story. With three POVs already these extra ones were just a little too much for me.

I really enjoyed this trilogy and hope to read book #8 in the series, which also features these three. I definitely recommend this series both for omegaverse and for SFR fans. For continuity and spoiler purposes I will continue to read the series in release order.

Amazing!

What an amazing conclusion to this story! And I absolutely LOVE that we got to see our other controllers and omegas.

The sex is super hot! And I finally got my knotting, hehe.
There is awesome fighting scenes, blood, gore, There's a bit of torture (well deserved!) - all in all this is pretty much my favourite book in this series! But it won't make much sense to you if you don't read book 3 and 4. You don't have to read 1&2 but I highly recommend that you do. :)

Fantastic ending

Trilogy in the middle of a series and such a tease with that last scene. Two alphas and one omega... loved it

This was the best book in this series so far. The sex scenes were off the charts hot and we got to catch up with the other couples Hudson/Anna and Logan/Eloise. There was also a lot more to this book than just sex. The background story was engaging and well told. I loved that we got so many different points of views throughout the book.

I hope this is not the last book in the series, however it was a wonderful ending to the Lily/Ethan/Ryker trio. My only critique would be that I wanted more from this novel. More detail about the incidents occurring with the main trio , more information about the uncorrupted, just more! I felt like this novel moved a bit fast and glossed over parts that could have been fleshed out better.

....Magnificent conclusion for Lily and her Alphas.......

✔ Dark scifi omegaverse
✔ Strong sensible Omega
✔ Devoted Alphas
✔ Menage with no M/M
✔ Scorchy burning :)
✔ Fast paced, action packed
✔ HEA

This series has blown me away. Many times I had to pause to take a deep breath. I love, love and love this series very much. This is book 5 in the Controller Series and Book 3 for Lily/Ethan/Ryker. You have to read at least book 3 in the series to catch up with this climax. I initially borrowed them on KU but went back to purchase all of them to support the author.

Without giving too much of this magnificent story away, in Lane's omegaverse world, there is virus that infect people and make them reveal their dynamics ( so technically, there are other interesting dynamics apart from A/O too). Lily is a willful scientist/doctor who revealed as an omega. Omegas need Controllers (Alphas) and her father chose two Alphas for her. Both of them are very dominant and they fall head over heel for her. Their actions speak louder than words. The story arch is the war between dynamics and non dynamics population. The story borders on a dark side with war, violence, blood and stuff but there is romance to soften things in between.

What I love about this series is Lane's crafting style. All her characters are so real. I ached, cried and smiled as I went through Lily and her Alphas story. Lane wrote in multiple POVs but I could actually tell who is who since they had their own complex personalities. The first A/o couples (Logan/Eloise and Hudson/Anna) also show up too :). So good to visit them again.

I really want to read more from LV Lane. Although Lily's story is completed, I still want to delve more into her worlds. And not to mention Abby (gamma) and her two protectors. If you like dark omegaverse HEA like me, you will love this book.
