This was a feel good, cozy, low drama, story for me. It's a story about second chances and starting over. Karissa is trying to move past the fall out of her husband having an affair with her best friend and neighbor. Karissa and her daughter Macy move from Seattle to Gig Harbor, WA to create a new life. They are both lonely and sad about losing friends and the life they had. But they slowly both begin to make new friends and carve themselves new lives. Karissa starts a book club with her new neighbors Alice and Margot and Alice's sister Josie joins them.
I enjoyed the literary references that were woven throughout the story. The book club provided support, encouragement, and friendship. All four ladies grew and started to flourish when they leaned on each other. I liked how the ending is wasn't perfectly tied up but more real life with the promise of better tomorrows.

After Karissa’s husband cheats on her with her best friend, Karissa moved across the Puget Sound to Gig Harbor with her 9 year old daughter. She gets a new job for a publishing company and begins a book club with her newly founded friends. This book is a really sweet and fun read! Each woman is going through something and find comfort and sisterhood in each other through their book club! A really great story about life after difficult times and rebuilding oneself! Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Books for the ARC of this book!

This is such a sweet, wholesome book, full of new beginnings, friendship, and love. Each chapter opens with a beautiful, inspiring quote, and really sets the tone for what's going to happen in the chapter. Each woman is dealing with her own problems, but together there's a bond of friendship, started with a mutual love of books. It's more difficult to make friends as an adult, and it was wonderful to see these friendships form and grow with women close to my own age. I was glad we got to follow the women separately, getting to see things going on first hand, instead of relying on them sharing everything later. By the end of the book, I felt I knew them (and the romantic interests), like I would if we were just becoming friends ourselves. If you're looking for a good cozy read, make sure you grab this!

This is a great read about the individual struggles of four women who have a book club. I loved reading how they came together and supported each other through hard times. Each person works through their problems in unique ways. In the end, they find true happiness in friendship.
