It was okay, but it contained some really inappropriate things such as bad words and inappropriate pictures. Also I liked the way the author wrote the book like it was actually written and illustrated by two kids.
My son really enjoyed this. Yes there are misspellings, but it is funny, cute and a good fun book to introduce kids to chapters in comic form. My son reads the words he knows and then I read the rest. Later he reads the pictures in his room and feels like a big boy. The series is a good one for us so far.

I never had the pleasure of reading a Captain Underpants book as a kid. He was majorly popular with the boys in my classes and they made it impossible to check them out since they loved it so much. (Goosebumps and Hank the Cowdog were the same way too!) I found out through research that another series by the same author as Captain Underpants books existed. I decided to try out Dogman since I’m looking for books for my reading programs with clients and thought parents might be more okay with a dog policeman than undressed superhero (I have very strict guidelines for work too). This was such a fun comic. I’ll definitely be continuing the series even if I don’t use them for work (need approval first). I can definitely see how the boys in my classes fell hard for Captain Underpants and am happy Dogman has also reached high levels of popularity.
