i really liked the use of repetive thought. They may of not made any literal sense but it is something i relate to massively.  Thoughts don't always make sense and it felt good to see that represented in literature.

Tori is so real. Brb crying.

I love the writing. I love when it's consciousness streaming and it's just like you really get into the head of a character. I was a little shocked at how the story took a turn at the end(literally so unexpected)
I thought Tori was ace so when they kissed I was a little confused. Maybe it was just all that build up?
but I think it needs some reflection. I really liked the build up of the friendship.

I've read a little bit of heartstopper and watched the show. Tori felt a bit more real because of the fact that I've seen their house and the actress who plays her.

this was my second read, and it broke my heart all over again. as always, i love alice oseman’s theme of mental illness not having a quick fix.
tori is deeply depressed, and i sincerely relate to the apathy and the sadness that she experiences. i appreciate that her journey throughout this book doesn’t end with her being “better” but she’s more okay than she was at the beginning.
tori and michael’s friendship is one of my favorite dynamics in possibly all literature. this book is hard and beautiful, sometimes funny and hopeful. however, what i appreciate most about solitaire is that it’s real.

Would’ve killed to have this book in high school. Would’ve worshiped it. I love Alice Oseman so much and I go off for writing this at 18!
