I thought that both the writing and the characters were boring. I didn't care if the charcters lived or died. I made it to the 3rd disc (of 19) on the audio book before I gave up.

This book made me fall in love with Neil Gaiman's work all over again in so many ways. He made me laugh, made me cry, and broke my heart with one line of text. One hundred percent would recommend this book to anyone.

This books taught me so many things. and the story of Shadow is especially depressing all the tricks and that twist, in the end, I didn't see it coming, Everything was planned as for Wednesday. However, I enjoyed a lot the book and I FULLY recommend it!!!!!! READ IT I'm not going to do a big review about this book because I want people to read it for themselves.

Since I've read this book in Spanish I will live my favorite quotes in Spanish I can't stop thinking about this books and the stories of Odin, Easter and the other Gods.
I just hope Shadow being the son of Wednesday finds happiness and someone to love as he loved Laura

Chapter #3

This book is a slow-burn - it takes a little while for things to catch, in my mind, but once they do, there's no stopping them. It is also a road trip, and a coin trick, and I love how well Shadow's name describes him. And I am The World's Worst Reviewer, so I am going to leave it at that, and say that other than the occasional "Surprise! Sex scene!" moment, I enjoyed this book very very much.

This just isn't really that good. Nowhere near enough time establishing the 'why should I care' of the plot. Ultimately ploughed through in the event that the last third of the book contained any redeeming features..

Not sure I am as enamoured with this story as others seem to be but it was a fun story to get into. I think the character work was stronger than the storyline but there were some nice aspects, if rather bleak.

A fast and fun work of modern fiction, but nothing particularly grand about it. I did enjoy the concepts of antique gods living ramshackle lives in America and that the Native Americans had it right all along.

The narrative and tone was generally tight but occasionally felt asynchronous. This could be because I read the ‘Author’s Preferred’ version of the novel.
