This book has been on my TBR for SUCH a long time and I finally decided she needed to be read when I saw her at a Barnes and Noble sale (and yes this book uses she/her/hers pronouns). This mystery was fast-paced, suspenseful, and a bit eerie at times, and all three of these aspects came together to be a tantalizing read. However, I did sort of guess the ending about halfway through the book which was a bit disappointing and why this book is rated 3 stars rather than 4. BUT there was still a pretty creative twist at the end that I did not see coming at all. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something to hold their attention and is ready to jump into spooky season.

Fun book that’s told backwards, did not expect the twist at all a tad slow in the beginning but I think it was reading too many books at once

Omg this book! The plot is so unique and I have never come across a similar one before! It literally had my head spinning in every direction throughout trying to figure it out, wondering what I would do and feeling so bad for Jen, Kelly and Todd. It seemed like there was a plot twist almost every couple of chapters that I just did NOT expect - apart from the last one with Clio which I sort of had an inkling about.
I would definitely say this is in the top three thrillers I’ve read this year! The chapters did feel quite long and tedious at times but I do think it was worth it as there are so many little details that you don’t realise are hints until they’re revealed later on! It is so well thought out and felt like a proper brain teaser, as if you’re in the book yourself with Jen which I LOVED.
The only tinyyy negative I have which stopped it being 5 stars for me is that there were some jumps within the long paragraphs that made it a tad confusing and lost me a bit but apart from that I absolutely loved it.

3.5 stars rounded up. It took awhile for this to get going - so much so, I almost contemplated giving up. I’m glad I kept going as I read most of this in one day. I did guess a few of the twists but found myself pleasantly surprised with others. A very interesting way to present a story. It would be worth a reread to pick up on everything now knowing the truth!

This book was so fun and unexpected! I loved the going back in time to solve a mystery plot, and the twists were really twisty and I didn’t see them coming. Also, I thought the ending was going one way and then it completely flipped on me which was surprising and satisfying. Overall, a great mystery book. Definitely not a thriller, but a good time and fun mystery to figure out.

This book took me way too long to finish. It never really held my interest and it was quite boring at times. I understood the whole picture and the ending was ok.
