One thing Emezi will do- leave me slightly uncomfortable about what I'm reading. However, this was a cute romance and I'm a sucker for that. Was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of it in relation to their other works.

Emezi's beautiful writing was captivating. Her thoughts on grief and two widows finding love again were heartbreaking at times. I'm also not at all surprised that an Emezi romance is super messy, it felt quite real that way. I perhaps should have read the entirety of the back cover however as the DILF theme is not quite my cup of tea.
