The characters are pretty good and I only had minor issues with them. I particularly liked Frankie. It was fairly predictable but that might just be me being good at figuring out the twists because of how much thriller/mystery media I consume.
All in all this was a really good book where I only had minor issues with certain things!!!
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Homophobia, Transphobia, Violence, Blood, Kidnapping, Car accident, Murder, Dysphoria, and Injury/Injury detail

TW: assault, drugging
I don't even have that many notes for Dead End Girls because the entire time I was reading I was enthralled. I loved the sense of planning, the secretive glances, and the thrilling action. Seriously. If you love a good YA contemporary thriller with theft and plenty of running - you have to read Dead End Girls. The action alone will keep you unable to stop reading. But what I also loved was Maude's perspective. I loved how she's so good at planning, at lists, at the dreams of escape. But how one thing, specifically one person, can change it all.
How she really has to reconsider her dreams of the future. She was always set on going somewhere, but never really considered who she'd be when she left. Or who might come along with her? Dead End Girls is ultimately both about the secrets that we don't know about the people around us, and the ways it's important to open up. To not be stuck in our isolation. Because of that, the action propels you through and the characters end up keeping you grounded.
Moderate: Dysphoria

I feel like I have too many emotions after reading this, but like SOMEONE TELL ME THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL! This book is like dark academia, but summer camp cult version.
I have no idea how to summarize this book, but I think everyone needs to read it. This was so good. It was dark it certain aspects and I am so here for this bee cult!! I loved Mars and seeing them get close to the Honeys. There were so many interesting character relationships and I loved like every second of it. I also really loved how Mars describes his genderfluidity! While I am more in the complete agender side of things, the description just made so much sense and made me feel valid.
I basically marathon-ed this book because I was so invested and I had to know what happened immediately. So here am I no thoughts only vibes. But pick this book up when it comes out! You won't regret it!
