God, Hardy, how could you do this at the end? I was so... mad, yes! Poor Tess, though I think she wasn't quite herself when she got rid of Alec at last. And Angel... I can't find the words to describe his idiocy. Somebody should have kicked some sense into that boy, he clearly deserved it. But all in all, this was a good novel.

Ok so...... This book made me cry so hard at the end. At first i was angry with Tessa but then i got angry with Angel. But oh god in the end it was such a plot twister!!! i definitely recommend this book!!

slow start, lots of farming, best at the end. characters keep reappearing, which gets a bit ironic once it happens a few times. all the nature imagery is nice. could be a criticism of nobility as all of tess' problems stem from the d'urberville relation discovery (she goes to alec after she kills prince, which happens because john is drunk from his celebrations. will be interesting to analyse.
V živote ma nič nedostalo tak, ako táto kniha. Hoci by som si priala napísať nejakú úžasnú review, plnú pozitívnych adjektív a srdcervúcich metafor, akosi nenachádzam slov. Poviem len, že Thomas Hardy je môj nový najobľúbenejší autor, a len tak ľahko ho z trónu nikto nezosadí.
