Roan (H) and Elise (h) have been involved with one another in an online relationship for months with both being open to no visuals, but after they begin talking on the phone, Elise decides to break their no contact rule and seeks Roan out. Both have had their no visuals rules for their own reasons - for Elise she was scarred badly in an auto accident, but for Roan it's because an incident left him, and much of the town's population as monsters. Roan has been invisible for twenty years and his touch seems to turn other things invisible as well, so as much as he might care for Elise, he can't bring himself to endanger her. The two will have to work together to pursue their hot and steamy relationship with one another. Sweet romantic monster quickie with a side of steam!

Love's Invisible Connections

This was a really cute and a bit unexpected quick listen. I love how they met - virtually and in person. Elise and Roan have some hurdles to overcome, and they use plenty of ingenuity to come up with solutions.

The steam was... mmm....

This was the second book in the multi author series that I have read and I have loved them both. After reading the first story I was really intrigued by Roan and I was so excited to see that he got his own story. His chemistry with Elise was undeniable and I loved their bond. This was such a great story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Very sweet. Too short to tug at the heart strings. And too short to have tried to add in the OM non-drama.

I like the idea

It's not so much that something is wrong with this story it's that it's really really short with little conflict or challenge to the characters lives and there isn't a bunch of spice to supplement a lack of serious conflict in the plot. The concept absolutely delightful but I'm not much for short stories and this just needs a lot more.

Summary:  Almost 20 years after a town-wide poisoning left him invisible, the coffee shop owner MMC strikes up an online friendship and romance with a scarred and somewhat shut in FMC who he never intends to meet in person - until she shows up in town.

Stats: CR/PNR, M/F, open door, part of a series but stand alone, novella

Notes:  This had some interesting moments, but really, it was just too short to develop anything well enough.  I would have found it more interesting if the development of the epistolary relationship got more time rather than being jumped over.  Finally, once again, no, no, no - your parents being Irish doesn’t mean you have any great likelihood of having an Irish accent yourself after never having lived in Ireland.  It’s just not how it works the vast majority of the time - why, why was this added?  It makes no sense and is completely unnecessary.

OTT and Spoilery Content Notes:
Disfiguring accident/poisoning, touch starved MMC, alcohol, epistolary/online romance, sexting, phone sex, ginger MMC (sort of), scarred FMC, some creative sex safety, jealousy, spider/mouse animal experimentation, trying to conceive/mentions of pregnancy in future
