So much happened! It's great seeing some of the more mysterious aspects of the plot drawn out, and I continue to love how the intensity and humor is balanced - from the... phone booth scene and subsequent scenes, to the brothers + Winry meeting Paninya and starting the process of delivering a baby - it was all so well done!

I loved this installment of Fullmetal Alchemist, although it was definitely the saddest. The art style was the same so it was just perfect as always.
This installment was used to set up the rest of the series and you could tell that it was more of a filler manga than a more important one. Important events did happen, but you can tell that even more are coming later.
My only complaint was that Roy Mustang and his crew were barely in this volume. If that's the main complaint, then that's pretty good.
Again, I recommend this wholeheartedly. Happy Reading everyone!!

I love this volume. Things really come to a head. The emotions and the literal story action and suspense is ratcheted up so much in this volume. This is clearly about where most will decide whether they enjoy the series completely or say this isn’t for me. I’m loving it.
Graphic: Bullying, Chronic illness, Dysphoria, Gaslighting, Medical trauma, Mental illness, Pregnancy, Religious bigotry, Violence, War, Misogyny, Blood, Body horror, Body shaming, Classism, Confinement, Death, Grief, Gore, Injury/Injury detail, Ableism, Death of parent, Gun violence, and Hate crime
There is a highlight on social inequalities and the minor crimes that go along with it, military abuses, a character goes into labor, perhaps most triggering for some would be the funeral of a character that has a young daughter and the trauma that child shows through that portion of storytelling. This is a story with sides that are trying to kill each other off too so be forewarned. There’s a sense of existential angst through much of this volume that’s also interesting but keep it in mind for if you’d recommend this series to anyone. This volume also highlights how our main characters are essentially disabled people who need to have a close bond with the person that can redesign and repair essentially their on body mobility aids. I’m loving this series.quitesimplyreading's review
