4.75/5 "They wronged you so I took their hearts. Just like I promised I would." I love me some Grim and Beast!!! They are both such badasses and their banter is top tier. I am glad we got some insight into the beginning of their relationship, but the letter to their daughter broke my heart! I never realized how Grim had to become Grim, but it breaks my heart. I also hate that the King is around in their story! I can't wait to see what is to come for Beast and Grim!

I enjoyed this book so much. This was such a lovely reading experience and one that kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire time. This book was just a delight to read.
This book is the first part of a duet so a lot of the book was setting up the story, the characters and their romance and I really enjoyed that. I really liked learning to know everything about this story and I really enjoyed how everything was built up.
My favourite part of slow burn books is the tension and the pining and there was so much of both of those in this book. Which just really worked for me. And while this book is a slow burn, it was also super romantic and it made me swoon so many times. Everything about this book just did it for me.
I just loved how much they wanted to be with each other and how you could see that through their every action. Their life situations prevents them from being together but I love how devoted their are to each other and how they wanted to be together no matter what.
The ending of this book, damn thats just cruel. I don’t think I have ever been this excited to read a sequel of a book so I can know what happens next. I was just so engaged in this story and I just need to know how it will continue.

Slow Burn
This book was a good sold 3 for me but that darn cliff hanger has me leaning towards a 4. It was a slow burn with a good story line. Grim is one bad you know what. The ending left me immediately downloading the next book. I have a felling there will be more spice in it.

I really struggled with the age of the characters and found the internal dialog repetitive. I felt like it was forcing the attraction rather than letting it develop naturally. The characters and story just couldn't hold my attention.

Grim is a fierce Queen, she’s baddass, sassy and hot as hell! And I loved watching her stand up for herself, be defiant and that punch she gave Beast, she didn’t even flinch!
Beast, I mean he is literally the definition of Beast and boy what can I say! H.O.T!
I loved the storyline and the characters. But that cliffhanger *Shocked*! Reading book 2 immediately!

Holy crap! This was every explosive thing I ever thought it would be… These two have such a tenuous friendship, walking the line between a professional relationship and a budding romance. Seeing Grim grow into herself and Beast allow himself to fall for her was amazing. I wasn’t expecting some of the twists this took even knowing some of the broad facts that they played out. It definitely was worth every second of the ride, and I can’t wait for what happens next.
