I listened to this as an audiobook. At first I didn't care for the narrator, but then he grew on me, just like the story. I read someone's review, I think on Amazon, that they thought this book was boring because it went too much into the main characters backgrounds. I actually enjoyed that part quite a bit.

Picked this one up for a light read on a long cross country road trip to Seattle. Gruber, a Seattle native, hence the book choice, tells the story of a lost Shakespeare manuscript the the adventure that surrounds its recovery. Think "The Da Vinci Code" meets a lawyer and some gangsters. Gruber does tell an interesting story and he can write, but the book is essentially a cryptographers mystery. Another in a long line of light reads but not in the literary tradition. Summer beach book read that was read in hotels along interstate 80.

Reading this book was like rummaging through dirty laundry hoping to find a fresh pair of socks.

Still didn’t get to read it.

Read my review of The Book of Air and Shadows.

A good read. Intricately plotted (Maybe a little too much at times) but interesting vividly drawn characters.
