This. Exactly this is what I wanted from The Rift.
I didn't like that the timeline is partially out of order, and I'd rather that we had one chronological order without having the need to categorize the different stories into different books.
But be it as it may, I got what I wanted. And that was the beginning of a pretty intense story.
Absolutely loved it.

Even after they broke up, Mai still does whatever she can to protect Zuko because she really does love him. Even at a cost to her and it's so beautifully tragic.

I always love visited the old gang. This time, I loved how it focused on Zuko, especially Mai. It's interesting seeing their stories when it's not constantly revolving around Aang. Can't wait for the next one!

I was SO excited to see that my library had an Avatar the last Airbender eGraphic Novel available and it said #1. i wanted to get into Avatar for a while now.
So I downloaded it and started reading and was so confused 🤷🏽♀️ 🤔 Apparently there are a lot of other # before #1? Help! So while I die like the art and the humor and the characters, I understood nothing from the story... Maybe I‘ll find out where to actually start this series one day.

This was pretty good, it was nice to hear more of the story from Zuko's point of view. This story arc seems exciting and interesting, can't wait to read more!

Idk if this is the best one out of the other ATLA graphic novels, but this is so good! So interesting, So mysterious!! I never know I need a chapter about Mai ❤️ I really grow to love her!!

Me encanta que la historia se centre -otra vez- en la Nación del Fuego. Creo que es la más bacan de todas (no quiero a nadie dándome el discurso del equilibrio de los elementos y guachimingo, es solo un gusto personal). Zuko ha vuelto y trae consigo a su nueva familia: mamá, papá y hermana. Y todo parece al fin ir bien en su vida, por un lado me da gusto por él pero por el otro siento que desplazó tan rápido a otros dos seres que de alguna forma, quizás retorcida, han estado siempre allí: Azula y Mai.
Azula no tiene espacio en esta nueva vida (ni siquiera le menciona) y Zuko está muy feliz de ver a su media hermana llamandole Zuzu cuando ese SIEMPRE ha sido el apodo de Azula para él. Esto fue una patada a mis fragiles intestinos.
Por otro lado tenemos a Mai, Mai que tiene un nuevo novio, Mai que de alguna manera parece haber seguido adelante sin Zuko. Lo cual me gusta mucho porque como podemos ver a lo largo de la serie Zuko la ha apartado en más de una ocasión y con una facilidad que me sorprende (y duele). Pero este "seguir adelante con su vida" sigue ligado al Señor del Fuego, y Mai está en vuelta de peleas, secretos e intrigas para defender a su ex novio de su propio padre que es catalogado por toda la Nación del Fuego como un traidor a su Señor. Y por si fuera poco... ¡Ty-Lee cuestiona sus sentimientos por su novio! Y para aumentar -el ya gigante drama- tenemos a Suki que parece estar olvidandose facilmente del chico de la tribu agua y cada día está más cercana al Señor del Fuego... y para rematar secuestran al hermano menor de Mai por lo que tiene que unir fuerzas con Zuko, el Señor del Fuego y amor de su vida, al cual abandonó, y su nuevo novio que es parte de la organización que tiene por objeto derrocar al Señor del Fuego.
