This book reminded me that funny, flamboyant, famous people are human too.

So after starting, and getting through much of this book on the audio version, I obtained a paperback version to read while not in the car-- and I subsequently finished the book in one sitting.

I enjoy Tina Fey as an actor. The movies and shows she has been in usually make me laugh, and I was hoping her book would do the same. Listening on audio definitely adds to the comedy and the enjoyment to the reader. But because I started that way, and I knew how Tina read on the audio, so I was able to imagine how she would've read the rest of the book without hearing it.

The audio book is a fun way to listen for sure, adding to the enjoyment of the story. I enjoyed seeing the photographs that she talked about in print, again adding to the enjoyment.

There were some opinions mentioned, that not everyone is going to agree with or enjoy, that were mentioned in particular near the end of the book and because I read this and didn't listen it's hard to tell how serious she was with the statements made.

Overall, an enjoyable read. Lighthearted, and funny. I'd recommend the audio version for sure.

If you like Tina Fey and have patience with 30 Rock's shortcomings, it's a fantastic read. It will make you even more disappointed in Kimmy Schmidt, however. I wish Fey could have been more pointedly critical of sexism at Second City and SNL, but I think she said what she felt she could without severing any of those important patronage ties. The Amy Poehler anecdotes are almost always the strongest in the book.

Funny at times, but mostly just a very rambling, directionless recap of Tina Fey's life.

I don't think I am adept at reading comedians in print. I wanted to be rolling around laughing hysterically and unfortunately only got one chuckle from the last chapter of the book. Not that there aren't funny parts... there was some good in there. I just feel like instead of making me love Tina Fey more this was a downgrade. I think I just need some type of literary inspiration and this is not currently serving that purpose.
