It was smart, warm & funny. It made me get to know Tina Fey more in many different aspects and I appreciate that. It was a woman thinking out loud and I think that's the best way to think. For anyone.

I enjoyed this book as a quick entertaining read. The style is very snappy and some people may have difficulty with the way she jumps around. She has some good insights into being a woman in a male dominated field but if you're looking for in depth feminist analysis this is not the book for you. For me, it was just the right thing after a long stressful day.

I already liked Tina Fey before reading this book. I had to right, or else why would I even pick up the book. After reading this book, I LOVE Tina Fey. She is such an amazingly funny and candid writer. I laughed out loud a lot. I definitely recommend this book.

This book had so much praise and I love Tina Fey but I was really disappointed. Half the book she was claiming that she was not really famous, etc and that the Palin thing made her famous? I knew about her way before the palin stuff.
I don't know. It had some funny spots, but I stopped about 3/4 through because I was bored .

I "read" this as an audio book, mostly while raking leaves for hours. Honestly, it was the first time I've ever enjoyed raking.
I think I would have enjoyed this book even if I had to actually sit down and read it, as opposed to listen to it, but I am SO glad I bought it on audible.com. Hearing Tina Fey's stories and jokes in Tina Fey's actual voice made it that much more funny. Plus, she adds in a few lines/jokes specific for audio listeners that readers don't get to experience.
The book covered the topics I assumed it would cover, so there were no fantastic surprises. Still, it was interesting to hear things like how she landed her spot at SNL after a hilarious interview with Lorne Michaels, how the Sarah Palin skits came about, her hesitance surrounding them, her 30 Rock journey thus far, and her experiences as a working mom. And the chapter about her father was priceless.
Was her book predictable? Yes. But I suppose many memoirs/autobiographies are. But her "We don't f***ing care if you like it" theme was fun and honest. Tina's stories reveal that she is even more down to earth than we already thought she was.

This was absolutely Tina Fey! If you are not a fan or don't understand her humor this book is not for you.
In the book she talks about her life and events that occurred to make her into the manager (boss) she is today. She of course adds her crazy take on things so it becomes not a straight forward biography but like a conversation with a friend (be it a crazy friend).
I really liked the book and gain a lot of insight about her.

Funny as hell, and an easy/quick read. It's definitely aimed towards women, but men would probably enjoy it too. Lots of laughs and some great stories - even a couple things to remember (I enjoyed the rules for improv - they're definitely applicable to real life).
