While I didn't find this isn't as good as some of the other Discworld novels I still thoroughly enjoyed it and found it very entertaining and hysterically funny in parts. Pratchett has a knack for finding the funny side of things and this is no exception as he takes the well known story of the Phantom at the Opera and puts his own unique spin on it. Granny Weatherwax was her usual brilliant self and Death brought his customary dry wit. The only problem with this book, I think, was that some aspects of the story were a little weaker than expected, for example I found Agnes/Perdita a little flat as a character and Christine was just plain irritating (although I think that was more deliberate than anything). Overall though this is a thoroughly entertaining read and gives an interesting twist to the world of Opera.

I just really don't love the witch stories- I'm not a big fan of plays, Shakespeare or the opera. I do like the way the witches think, and Nanny Oggs book had me cackling. I could've used without the constant references to Agnes weight. Over all just meh. Looking forword to getting back to the watch books.
