Decent, but I felt like I wandered into a YA novel that an editor, somewhere along the way, suggested should be a novel for adults. Too many secondary characters that never really made it to secondary status. Nothing really happened.
I did like Alexa as a character until she completely shifted, becoming paranoid and wimpy. As much as they built her up as a bad-ass, she fell apart. She was written as smart, and she completely lost her ability to rationally think through a situation.

I just couldn't get into it. I found myself listening, but not really *following*.
It was both compelling and boring. Felt a little bit like a Liane Moriarty book with less of a punch at the end.
I liked the suspense that continued throughout the whole story. I did figure out what I think were supposed to be some of the plot twists pretty early, but it didn’t make the story any less enjoyable. I wish there was a little more about the future at the end of the book, but since it was just supposed to be a summer story I understand why it ended where it did.
The writing style was a little choppy, but the story was engaging, with just enough surprise to keep me flipping pages. Gods first read of vacation!

I had never heard of this book, but saw it at the library and decided to read it. I gave it 4 stars immediately after reading it; but, a month later I can’t remember much about its. So enjoyable read, but not memorable.
The book wasn't bad but it felt like it was trying to be something else. Like the author wanted to write "a Liane Moriarty" or "a Elin Hilderbrand."
