Cute, cozy, and cheesy at times. Exactly what I wanted.
Some of the dialogue was trying a little too hard, but I still liked it a lot. Got the rest for the series to binge in the meantime. 😬

The plot and characters are too surface level, lacking depth to keep me intrigued. Doesn’t feel like there are any stakes / no pull making me want to keep reading. Not for me but could be for others!

I didn’t hate it nor love it. It was a cute sometimes funny story that’s a little insta love with good spice.

This is a quick, slightly cheesy, cozy (spicy) romance. It’s giving Stars Hollow, but with monsters and magic. Yes, the conflict is immature and the romance is pretty rushed, but it’s exactly what you want in this type of book. The setting had just enough detail for me to let my mind run wild and picture the most idyllic scenes, but not so much that it took away from the story. I enjoyed the escape it brought me.

Love brews where you least expect it

A cozy, magical romance with heart, humor and a teddy bear of an orc you can’t help but fall for.

Mariah, a determined innkeeper with a pixie dust mite problem, teams up with her old high school bully, now a reformed brewmaster, for a fake engagement that spirals into something real. Their banter and chemistry is perfection, with just enough emotional depth to make it stick.

Set in the charming town of Elderberry Falls, the world is whimsical without being overwhelming and delivers all the warm vibes of a comfort read. The spicy scenes... though hot, due to the nature of their past was a little weird for me, personally, but it was not so bad that it took me out of the story completely.

I enjoyed this immensely and will be reading the other books in the series.
