Not for me. I think others will find this very enjoyable, but YMMV. I gave it 3 stars because I do believe people will enjoy it.
I didn't enjoy that Thorak used to mercilessly bully Mariah and, without knowing he had changed or grown as a person, she is instantly attracted to him. IDK, I just think I would always see a bully as a disgusting individual even if they were hot. They could be hot and I would still not physically feel attraction to that person at all. Maybe that's just me.

Great story!
What a sweet and cozy story! It's like a Hallmark movie, but with magical creatures. I usually love epic fantasy romance, but this is a great palate cleanser in between epic stories.

DNF at 60%. I just couldn’t do it.
The cringe af dialogue, the repetition of phrases, storyline details, etc. This could have been so cute and sweet with the underlying theme (and wanted to be) but just didn’t land for me

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I normally don't like enemies-to-lovers but this book totally converted me! It was a super sweet, cozy romance fantasy with nuanced characters in a humorous sitcom of sorts. Mariah is a strong character in her own right, as one of the rare humans living in a primarily monster society. Thorak, although Mariah's former school bully, is thoroughly likeable and their chemistry (love or hate) is undeniable. The ways he goes to earn not her love but her forgiveness means so much more than a simple seduction or declaration of love - this story delves beyond that and I appreciate it. I wish it had even more smut but that is just my dirty mind. And, of course, the thing about cozy books is that it can be a mite predictable; the relationship of convenience to convince an outsider investor to make business has been done over and over again and unfortunately, this book doesn't really add upon that or make it their own. Still enjoyable, though and I can't wait to read the rest of the series so I can stay in Elderberry Falls a little longer.

WOW! This was such a good story. I'm honestly a bit of a sucker for a bully romance BUT ONLY IF IT'S DONE RIGHT AND THE BULLY G R O V E L S AT THE FEET OF THE PERSON THEY HURT. Thorak did exactly that for Mariah. It was great. I loved it. They were so cute together and I loved how (despite the third act breakup) they still talked and discussed things like adults. What I normally hate about third act breakups is that it's usually a misunderstanding or one person in the relationship not letting the other person have a say in their relationship (I.E one person want's to break up because they're not good enough for the other person but then that person won't listen to what their partner has to say). In this story they talked OFTEN about their feelings and how they hurt one another and that's great!! I can't wait to read more from this author.
The plot of this book is literally what if I fell in love with the person who restlessly bullied me because of my race for years and who’ve I’ve actively avoided for 10 years? I don’t think you can even consider this a “cozy” romance with that kind of plot and the world building is weak.

Overall I enjoyed it more or less but it really suffered from characters making stupid choices they should know better on and also miscommunication which I personally really hate.

This was exactly what it says on the tin. Cute, cozy, smutty.
