This is Andrea's book, filling in some of the gaps between the end of Magic Slays and the beginning of Magic Rises, as well as her personal history, her relationship (or lack thereof) with Raphael, and some general personality issues. Oh, and as an added bonus you'll get insight into some of the other side characters too.

If you've been reading the series so far, you should definitely read this one.

DID NOT FINISH

It's rare I don't finish a book.

I don't know if it was the combo of my tummy being upset or what but I just couldn't get past how descriptive this book was. To many ways to describe liquid coming from a body.

Again because I didn't finish I won't rate it.

I will say I liked how kick ass the female character was.

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the previous books in the series. I'm trying to pinpoint why, and I'm not sure. In the second half I found myself skimming, trying to get to the end. Maybe it's because the first half was about Andrea and her relationships, whereas the second half was about finding and destroying the bad guys. I liked the relationship part better.

Ilona Andrews rocks my world once again. Andrea's story was worth the wait and I just wish that the husband and wife duo would write MORE BOOKS FOR ME TO GUSH OVER. Is that so much to ask?

Love it. Love it love it love it love it.

Great writing as usual. Story line held my interest well enough, but the Andrea/Raphael development wasn't as captivating as Kate/Curran. Also, at times, Andrea sounded a little too much like Kate. Granted, they are supposed to be best friends and eventually a little bit rubs off on one another. Still would have been more interesting if Andrea were an entirely different persona.

Really like this book. It was interesting to see things from Andrea's perspective.
A definite most read if you Love the Kate Daniels series.

I really enjoyed this. The characters were familiar and it was a very fluid read. It has many of the strengths that the Kate Daniels books have (battle, wit, magic etc.), but somehow the World books aren't quite as good. I would normally give every book in the Kate Daniels Series a 5, but this was just a small notch below. Still, way worth the time if you're into the series! It was fun to get into the head of a new character and see our normal narrator through new eyes. Nicely done.

That was one thing I could honestly say about the Atlanta boudas: the men always understood the difference between no and maybe.

I wasn't sure if I really wanted to read this book. I love Kate Daniels, but novels about side characters don't often work for me. I have to say, though, that I really enjoyed this. I liked seeing Andrea come into her own, fully, as a beastkin. The way she and Rafael resolved their issues was funny, and, much like in the novella, I really like them as a couple.

This gave us another aspect of magical creatures within this world, and it'll be interesting to see if more will come of it.

The middle did drag a little for me, but other than that I had a good time.
