Dieser Band hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Ok es geht die Andrea die beste Freundin von der Kate.
In diesem Band konnte man die Andrea noch besser kenn lernen. Und diesen Band erfährt man ein bisschen mehr über Andrea's Vergangenheit.
Die Spannung und der Humor sin diesen Band wieder großartig.

I don’t always bother with side plots when it comes to series with tons of books in them. I took notice of Gunmetal Magic because it was actually a full length book in the series rather than just like a 50 page novella. So I jumped in to see what Andrea’s perspective would be. Essentially Andrea is kind of a less funny Kate. I did like her story and I wanted to see some Raphael swoons and the story really did deliver on that point.
I thought the plot line here involving the Egyptian gods and magical artifacts was actually really well thought out and could have easily been a Kate story. I appreciated the fact that an effort was made to make Gunmetal Magic into its own adventure rather than just a mopey romance for the side character. It felt like a book that should be in the Kate Daniels universe. It just basically focused on all of the side characters we don’t get to see a whole lot of.
I don’t want to get into too many specifics because they are all dependent on reading all the books that came before it in the series and would be too hard to explain in a way that would actually make sense. Bottom line: This was super fun and I enjoyed reading it. It was a great little detour in the over-arching story line and worth the read.

Ein Band um Andrea Nash, der mir gut gefallen hat. Zwischen Andrea und Rafael hat es schon vorher sehr geknistert, nur hier geht es um den Bruch ihrer Beziehung und was dahinter steckt. Da Andrea schlimme Erfahrung gemacht hat in ihren ersten 11 Lebensjahren mit einen Bouda Clan, fällt es ihr jetzt nicht leicht die jetzigen Gestaltenwandler als Familie anzusehen.
Doch nach und nach merkt sie sie kann ihre andere Seite nicht verleugnen und möchte dies auch nicht mehr, doch muss sie sich entscheiden ob sie auch die Konsequenzen tragen möchte.
Eine wirklich tolle und spannende Geschichte denn Andrea muss einen Fall lösen wodurch sie mit Rafael zusammenarbeiten muss, was natürlich für verschiedene Spannungen sorgt in vielerlei Hinsicht. Ich mag ihren Humor genauso wie den von Kate.

[3.75 stars] I liked this a lot more than I originally thought I would. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about a non-kate book but Andrea did not disappoint.
The novella at the end bored me a little bit. Kate and Curran were being over romantic, which means brace yourselves for relationship drama next book.
You can skip this if you want, but I'd definitely recommend reading it. Quite a few things happen that'll affect future books.

Gunmetal Magic is told from Andrea's point of view. While I've always liked her character, being able to see things from her perspective helped me understand her a little better. I hope we see more stories like this.

I was not too impressed by the main characters Andrea and Raphael.
I usually like the cast of characters in the Kate Daniels books I've read, and there were a few bright spots here too (Roman and Ascanio) but I could not understand the thoughts and the actions taken by the main characters.
The book was still ok, and a fun read.
Okay, so I love Andrea, but it was super odd reading about Kate and Curran from a different perspective!
That said, if you're a fan of the series, this is must-read. There are several very important things that go down and even though I read it out of reading order, I'm glad I did. Boudas!!
