This book is pretty simple and straightforward. You could probably skip it if you knew the basic concept and the five love languages. BUT there's no denying the content of this book is helpful for any couple wanting to deepen their understanding of one another. It makes total sense that this would become a bestseller.

Really loved the chapters on the actual languages that they speak of. It was very easy to find out what my love language was. Dr. Chapman explains each of them well and gives examples you might not have thought of before. However after I learned the languages I didn’t really have any interest in the last 3 chapters.

Enjoyed it but often it was hard to see past the author's ego. 'I'm so great and this is what I think and you should believe it because I'm so great' is how the book reads. Nevertheless, he makes some good points and it was helpful to think about communication and expressing and receiving love.

If you want a book to understand yourself and others when it comes to love this is the book for you. I re-read it often because the love language can change as we grow.

Boring. I like the concept and it makes sense. Everyone has a way that they show their love. But, it was incredibly boring to read. I couldn't even finish it.

This book was awesome!!! I think any couple should read this. It helps you reconnect as you learn each other's love languages and learn to communicate better. I think it's very important for each to know his/her own love language to become a better mate.
We truly enjoyed it and I encourage everyone to read it. It'll answer many of your questions and prevent many future arguments. Knowing your love language is very important, in my opinion! Enjoy!
