This is shaping up to be a superb run on the character.

Good.
Hoping they reveal who this new big bad is soon. It’s getting a little annoying.
Good story with Black Cat and the intro of Super Significant Others Anonymous was fun.

I don't like Nick Spencer but I love Spider-man and I love the art team. So, here we are.
This book was actually an improvement over volume 1 and had great character beats and gorgeous art. But then in Chapter 5, Nick Spencer has to go and steal a joke from Chip Zdarsky. In Zdarsky's first outing of Spectacular Spider-man on Free Comic Book Day 2017, there was a joke about Spider-man being able to tell Mary Jane was saying his name without the hyphen. Which finds itself in this volume. Come on, man.

- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? Yes
- Loveable characters? Yes
- Diverse cast of characters? Yes
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

A lot going on here. Too much for me, it pulls in the entire marvel universe, and I'd no idea what was going on.
Artwork really strong, especially the pencil drawerings for memories

I preferred this volume to volume 1, the story really seems to be heating up. I love the dynamic between Spidey and Black Cat plus MJ's self discovery, so I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.

I'm really enjoying the direction, the writing and the art on ASM these days. Really good story.
