How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind: Dealing with Your House's Dirty Little Secrets

I think the biggest appeal this book has out how incredibly relatable the author is. She makes you feel less alone Ava breaks down the hard truths into understandable chunks. I felt like every chapter was a pep talk that I could do this. I’ve got this.
My big takeaway was an epiphany. Containers don’t make you organized. YOU make YOU organized.

Dana K White is the best at what she does. Give it a try if you are at all intrigued. It’s repetitive but that is the best way to learn and create new habits. Par for the course. I love to read these type books every so often to inspire me (again) to declutter and get cleaning back on track. I recommend her other book “Declutter at the Speed of Light” if you have a fairly tidy home already. I still got a few new habit building tips and a kick in the pants from this book.
* Dana narrates and her voice is great, her delivery encouraging.

Another winner from Dana K. White! My brain must work similarly to hers. I've switched over to loading and starting the dishwasher every night, even if it is only half full, and unloading it each morning first thing. I got rid of the padded terrycloth dish drainer thingy that used to sit next to our sink for air-drying dishes, and have been towel-drying and immediately putting away the few large items that need it. Our counter looks much more streamlined and is easier to keep clean. Dishes Math is for real. I'm excited to layer in the remaining daily habits and see if it continues to make a big difference in our home!

extremely helpful for someone with adhd+a lot of deep seated issues with clutter. i’ve listened to dana’s podcast for over a year now and am really glad i finally made a point to read the book. it’s extremely accessible and i immediately ordered a paper copy for my mom after finishing it- i really think she will vibe with the non-judgemental (and funny) nature of it. starting on decluttering at the speed of life soon. :)

I'd recommend this book over Decluttering at the Speed of Life just cause it has less about children/spouses who are as much work as children.
They're basically the same book through, numerous times I had to double check that I hadn't already read this book. I fully believe full pages were duplicated between each book.
