2.5 stars. I don’t really care about the faerie plot line. I want some monsters. This felt weaker than the first three Dresden books. Had some high points but took too long to get off the ground.

I enjoyed Butcher's fantasy series (Codex Alera) much more. The Dresden Files are a bit heavy on the violence side for me. However, I find Harry Dresden a sympathetic character and the series is a good escapist read.

Great book! I needed this after reading the dreadful City of Glass. I think that this is the best book in the series since Storm Front. Harry has more energy, a grittier edge, and is now a real bad ass.
Harry has to travel to the nevernever to solve the balance between Winter and Summer. I won't give out many details but this is a great read!

Liked Summer Knight much better as an audio book in my current binge of the series. Upping my rating to a 5
