Meagan Brandy is a straight up savage!

SAVAGE, I tell you!

She decimated my heart and did an evil cackle while she threw me in a pit of starving pigs that ripped my body to shreds.

(Okay that was graphic but seriously...)

This book is the reason the word ANGST exists. I mean how many times can she put our poor hearts in a vice, slice them open, and leave them bleeding out before we die?!?!

Apparently, as many as she wants! Defenseless Hearts is thoroughly devastating. Its heart breaking, mind numbingly tragic. It's starrcrossed lovers making Romeo and Juliet look like a fairytale. To clarify, it makes them look like a Disney fairytale. Defenseless Hearts is more Grimm in its heartache. But dont let my ranting scream you off, because it's worth every heartbreaking, soul crushing minute.

Everyone needs a Hero. And Hero deserves HER.

Not as good as fumbled hearts and saw you swear. I found this one a bit boring tbh and was dragging around to finish it

I thought this would be a very angst read and it was just that. I didn’t find myself crying or anything but I did feel bad for the characters and wanted them to finally be happy. Parker didn’t come close to beating Noah but hey that’s a hard task

I need more!! Parker is perfect and Kenra slowly became likeable by the end. She was very selfless but also selfish at the same time and I wanted to rip my hair out at some parts… they really were meant for each other!

I have to admit my favorite scenes included Nate and Lolli

After reading Lolli’s story, I excitedly jumped into Parker’s. But, ugh, Kenra just got on my nerves and I had to speed read to get to the end bc I’m no quitter. I also wish, Say You Swear, with my all time favorite book boyfriend, had a bigger warning that it came after this series. Hard to read certain parts bc I knew what was coming. My fault, wish I realized this series came before.

Defenseless hearts

This book really throws a lot at you. It was heartbreaking watching two people so clearly perfect for each other not be with each other. I loved that they finally made their way to each other. I hope to see more stories from the group.

Holy feels!!! I was hoping for another great book and was not disappointed. I went from excited to angry to happy to nervous to leg shaking anxiousness and rage to tears. Learning about Parker’s past and how Kalani was able to connect to with him on a level helped answer some questions from Fumbled Hearts. Learning about what is going on now and the struggles Parker is dealing with, the secrets, and the hope for a happy ending.
