Too sad. I know it's a classic, but I don't like stories where the main character suffers up til the very end, and then is rescued. there has to be SOME joy in the story throughout the book for me to enjoy it. How can people treat innocent animals like this? so sad. poor beauty.
This was a heartwarming and fast read that highlighted animal cruelty. Recommended for anyone who loves animals!

This is one of the first few books which kindled my love for beautiful stories.
I remember watching this movie when I was little, and reading the book was a lot like watching it again. This time around, though, I felt guilty about treating my horses poorly, even though I've never had a horse to treat poorly.
