This was a decent read. I wasn't sure about this book when I first started but I did enjoy it more when I was able to read it in larger blocks of time and could get into the authors rhythm more. I also had to try to separate the TV series from the book since there were differences in the appearances of the characters. I might be interested in reading more in the series if the opportunity arises but I don't know that I will actively seek them out.

This one took me a few chapters to get into, but was worth the effort. Sheriff Walt Longmire is a flawed, but likable character. I enjoyed the mystery, but liked the setting and quirky cast of characters even more. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Clever, very well-written, and a smart mystery!

Not bad but enjoyed the show more.

I really enjoyed this and will read or listen to more in the series.

Way too many characters to try to figure out who is who in a first novel. I also don't need to know every description of every road Longmire drives down. I may try to finish the book, but the audio version was putting me into a coma in my car.
