I read this because I watched Longmire on A&E - books are good, you will like if you are a Tony Hillerman fan also.

great mystery. kept me guessing about the killer until the very end. i'm thoroughly enjoying getting to know walt longmire a bit more.
the most interesting thing to me is the moral gray areas-- that balance between doing the wrong thing for the right reasons.

Very entertaining and very readable. This is the 1st in the Longmire series and I've read several after this and am still enjoying them. I decided to read them after watching the TV series. While I enjoyed the TV series I was pleased to find that the books are much better and more believable than the TV adaptation.

He writes Wyoming really well, with some quirky characters and great dialogue.

A BAC of 4.2 — that man would be *more* than dead - that needs to be corrected (twice) to .42.
I like the quippiness of the characters

Loved it!
