I'm so torn on this book. it did take me quite a while to read it, due to being so damn busy with work and stuff, so it felt like the story dragged. Being my first M/M book, I expected a little more hot sex I guess. Surprisingly enough, there was a lot of angst, which normally I enjoy. However, the tug and pull of their evolving relationship was tiring at times. The whole mystery of the killings was just ok. I'm intrigued enough to keep reading the other stories in this series, though. I hope Ty & Zane are in the other books , as I feel their story is incomplete. 3.5 stars for me.
the whiplash i kept getting from the pov changes was nauseating. that alone would’ve made me dnf but i saw reviews saying it would get better in the second book so i stuck to it.
i don’t get these characters at all. they have mood and thought swings that hard to follow. especially when things change personality wise around sixty five percent.
their relationship was insta. i’m sorry being attached after seven days is a bit much for me. despite that i wanted to see how it played out since this series is v loved. the relationship building was as confusing as the characters tbh.
now catching the killer…. they were so wrapped up their shit that they couldn’t see what was in front of them. i immediately knew who the killer was. it was so obvious.esp when helingehdufh(don’t know how to spell his name) was the only who knew they were back.like it’s right there. ngl i lost respect for them. the seemed quite childish tbh.

So that was a waste of time. Why grab a random lady’s boobs as a way to flirt with her? Yeah she ended up liking it but that doesn’t matter because you shouldn’t have grabbed it in the first place. Embarrassing

Really liked this one, but, really: OUCH! The heroes are in so much physical pain for most of the story it became almost ridiculous: cut up by glass and metal shards, bruises everywhere, broken ribs, severe concussion, broken arm, dislocated shoulder, multiple gun shot wounds. Did I miss any? Oh yeah, the overdose and cardiac arrest. Never mind the emotional pain from dying partners, alcoholism, drug addictions, claustrophobia and PTSD. Yowzah. It's a miracle they managed to have sex amidst all the explosions and car crashes.
I am just starting the second one in the series and I hope to god there will be less carnage.
