Though this says book one it is (as far as I can tell) actually the full series. The book having the full story arc is something that I really liked.
The art is pretty amazing. The concept is entirely decent, but the plot fell flat for me. I wanted more in-depth worldbuilding. Will probably read the next installment, because I feel like Millar et al could take this in a very interesting direction.

Artwork was decent, some interesting landscapes, background characters, etc. The story, however, is pure uncut blacktar trash. The main character (Bonnie Black) is so ridiculously good (as everyone keeps telling her) that there's nothing to be done with her on an emotional level. The biggest emotional conflict is that she accepts her husband having started a new family after years of life in a new realm, after some brief doe-eyed soul searching.
In addition, the realm that she goes to after death posits this ridiculous split between 100% good and 100% evil souls. The lack of any potential for nuance makes this a supremely boring read.

This was quite awful. I almost gave this completely generic and poorly written and executed waste of time 2 stars but then I decided on just one due to the ridiculous sized breasts of our “heroine” Bonnie and the creepy relationship that she has with her father. The weird maxi pad outline on bonnie’s bodysuit coupled with her random announcement, to dear youngish dad, of having her period again made it so obvious that once again a bunch of guys made a comic book for a bunch of other guys.
I'm conflicted between giving this three or four stars and I decided to give it four mainly for Greg's artwork which is as stunning as ever. As for the story and everything else well...its Mark Millar. I'm very torn on the man, he's written some of the best comics ever and he's also written some of the worst comics in my mind. This one is in the middle. Millar throws a broad net over his story and it doesn't come out real well. I understand what he was trying to do with the story/theme but it needed more work. I do believe this is worth reading but I recommend getting it from a friend or finding it at either a physical or digital library.
Another Mark Millar comic that could have used more time in the oven. Now if you’re familiar with Millar you know that he writes two comics. One that tries way to hard to be edgy and the other is kind hopeful heartwarming story. This falls into the latter category.
The bad is that it has very weak flow, protagonist and deuteragonist are underdeveloped and there are quite few weak story moments.
The good is that like most Mark Millar comics it moves as at good pace and has an interesting premise. Also there are quite a few hilarious moments involving the villains, who are really the stars of the show especially when compared to our bland protagonists.
In the end I think this review like every other review will be worthless to the vast majority of readers. If you’ve read a couple Mark Millar comics you know whether or not you like him. This is an average Millar comic.

This book was okay. It felt rushed to me. But the story was interesting and the art was great.
Millar ve Capullo gibi isimler beklentiyi fazla yükselttiği için herhalde, biraz hayal kırıklığına uğradım.
Like most Millar books, this one has a great concept too but suffers from rushed plot and underdeveloped characters. This seems to be a pattern with his stories. Greg Capullo's gorgeous illustrations earn this book 3 stars.
