This was not bad. The two main characters were back and forth too much. That said, I didn’t mind them other than that. I was surprised by a twist I hadn’t seen coming. The audible narration was pretty good
I enjoyed reading this story.
Walker had all kinds of dimensions that I wasn't expecting.
Tragedy had made him bitter and distrustful of most people.
He had a tendency to take his anger out on the wrong people (or water coolers).
Enter Kate, who is hired to rehab images of the baseball players.
Their chemistry was instantaneous. Talk about angst and slow burn.
And Walker is such a dirty talker. Whew!
Then at 83% of my way through the story, a MAJOR curveball came along and it was the biggest WTF moment. I am not usually surprised but this got me.
The story takes some time to tell but I loved the entire thing.

This story has it all! The growly ultra alpha, the smart, sassy, and take charge heroine that smooths his rough edges, and holy smokes the slow burn in this story is gonna make you melt!
Let's just add to this already dynamic and epic mix by adding Ms. Quinn's brand of humor and OH the surprises! There are so many that left me gasping and saying "Holy Crow!" With the right dash of angst to make this story one for the record books!

And let me just say, the chemistry between these two burn up the pages! I also absolutely felt heartbreak and was cheering hard for both Walker and Kate. I admired their strength and their honesty with one another, there was no pussyfooting around with either one of the characters and I absolutely loved it!
Totally can be read as a stand-alone, this book is going to knock your socks off! Definitely in the running for my "Best of 2021 Reads!"

No one does slow burn like Meghan Quinn. I swear I feel like I’m about to burst with anticipation just like her characters. It is slow but wonderful torture.
I feel like Walker and Kate, out of all the couples in this series, was extra torturous. The boundaries they set and kept crossing had me dying slowly in the best way.
I also really enjoyed them as a couple, how they opened up to each other and how Walker found solace in her company.
This a top couple for me in this series. Fun and steamy, The Perfect Catch is a great addition to this standalone romcom series.

Walker is just such a complex gruff teddy bear that I loved! Kate was the perfect foil to him and loved how they followed the rules despite the love they have for one another. Ryot needs his own book stat!
