Walker has his book and I am here for it!
We only saw glimpses of him in the previous books which only made me more invested to see his story.
He is the grumpy, closed off player that doesn't open up nor share pieces of himself to anyone. But his image as the least liked player needs fixing especially if he wants to stay in the team. This is where Kate comes in, she is the team's new community events coordinator and together they can work to make him more likable.
And sure he becomes more likeable by the minute, especially to Kate. The once grumpy player is opening up. Their attraction only multiples but there is nothing they can do about it, since fraternizing between the staff and the players is forbidden or they can both lose their jobs.
Walker is so sweet, which is something you don't see coming from him. Especially when he initiates contact. There is some top notch hand holding here, I am no joking. Kate is guarded as well especially since she loves her job but the more time she spends with him, the harder it is to resist.
As any book by the author you can expect funny scenes and dialogue, the humor is amazing.
This is a slow burn romance, which means that there is a lot of build up and tension. The only thing I wanted to more of, was them together in a relationship and see their everyday life as a couple. But it didn't affect how much I enjoyed the book.
* I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

I am enjoying this series tremendously, each character stands apart from the one before. Each story is unique to them.
I loved Walker from the get go, I like that he may lose his temper but it had a reason no one ever cared to ask. The Water cooler I gotta say genius the whole thing, the apology loved that scene.
Kate and Walker I didn’t see coming if I am honest it took me a while to warm up to it but once I did I got it. Just sucked they had to deny it for so long. And even when they did give in they really couldn’t continue. Knowing and doing the right is easier said than done but I had mad respect for Walker he really does step up.
He might not have done it gracefully but he didn’t want to cause more hurt or suffering on both sides.
Penn and Walker, we go on a crazy ride but in the end I like how it ended up. I hope we see Penn again; I want more of that backstory I don’t think we got enough of it.
The narrators were fantastic two of my very favorites they just give life to these characters and I am here for it.

I loved Walker and Kate. If you love tension, angst, forbidden and sports romance-- you will love this book.
I loved how strong Kate was and how grumpy Walker was. Kate didn't back down whenever Walker was being an ass. This was only my second book by Meghan, but it made me want to go back and start this series from book one.
I enjoyed the banter, the spicy scenes, and the little twist--which idk about yall but I had a feeling early on and I was like yup...call me Sherlock Holmes now.

Grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, workplace romance. I loved this! Meghan Quinn has yet to disappoint me, but she makes it so hard to pick a favorite MMC! She knocked this one out of the park (pun definitely intended).
The Perfect Catch is Walker Rockwell and Kate Chapman's story! Walker is always grumpy and his image isn’t so great. The only way to stay in baseball is to clean up his image. Because he can’t even get traded. That’s Kate’s job to clean up Walker’s image. I loved that Kate doesn’t take any of Walker’s BS.
Their romance becomes a forbidden workplace romance when they can’t seem to stop the attraction between the two of them. The dilemma is no fraternization allowed. There is a lot of hotness going on between Walker and Kate.
Another enjoyable book written by one of my favorite authors! I look forward to each and everyone of this author's books. 4.5 stars

Forbidden workplace romance? Yes please. Especially when the grump is really a cinnamon roll once you get him to open up. Sigh.

I debated giving this three stars, but I just can't make myself do it. This entire story can be summed up in about three sentences ... At first Walker is a total schmuck of a man, pushing everyone in the world away from him. Kate jumps in and brings out the teddy bear inside. She and he really, really, really like each other, but they can't be together because of a no fraternization clause in their organization. That's it. This is a story where Kate gets Walker to open up in about five seconds, they fall in lovelust, then they spend a gazillion pages saying, "We shouldn't be doing this." Over and over and over. I am sure that there are a bunch of people who will love reading about these two starcrossed lovers, but I found the whole thing to be eye-rollingly tedious. The whole "Dan" twist felt ridiculously manipulative by the author. It would have been way more satisfying to have this out in the open from the beginning. I thought the whole thing that was causing Walker and Penn issues was overblown. Yeah, they needed therapy, but it wasn't written in a way that made their actions plausible. I think the whole story would have been better if Kate and Walker had to work a lot harder to know each other before they fell for each other. Instead, they're together pretty quickly, seem to click, and then spend the entire book kissing and then regretting their separations in a "Whoa are we" sort of melodrama. I also thought that Walker's freak out moments of losing his temper, often publicly, should have been giant red flags for Kate. Yeah, there's a nice guy in there somewhere, but guys who are so quick to lose their crap at everything don't generally make the most fun and stable life partners. I'm happy they found their way to a HEA, but this did not float my boat. Two stars. It was okay.
