AAHHH!!
not quite as eventful as book 1 but still exciting!! I finished it within a day!
/ quite in love with the Light
/ also I relate to Amara so much??
/ and I loved her part of the plot
/ BUT. THAT END. ARGH.
/ selene x damien, relationship growing!!
/ also selene learning a lot! growing! (in more than one way)
/ but still, I thought it was slightly too introspective on occasssion. I see the importance of internal conflict, but the number of times the narration asked these questions aloud sounded slightly like a juvenile novel xD
/ otherwise NO COMPLAINTS.
/ CANT WAIT FOR BOOK THREE.
/ also, Damien's soul <3
:))
ANYHOW. STILL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Aaaaahhhh! What a ride! The expanded worldbuilding and mythology was done in a way I liked very much. I could easily visualize the scenes of Damien raising the water or Selene in the dream world. BTW Damien & Selene are great main characters!
Amara was my favorite addition of the POVs. I really wish the first book had her insight at least one. It would had add much more to the story.
And Taegis is a cinnamon roll. He's the best guardian.

After reading Mark of the Raven (which I loved and gave 5 stars to) I had to immediately dive into Flight of the Raven.
Fantasy is one of my least read genres and I'm always a little bit nervous too read books in the genre because I'm afraid they'll be too "off the wall" for my tastes. This series is perfect for those who are new to fantasy because it definitely has fantasy elements (magical powers, shape shifting) but it doesn't stretch the reader's imagination too much (which I liked).
The different houses and castles were very fun to read about and at times the story reminded me of some of my favorite historical fiction books about royal families. This book focuses a lot on the relationship between the two main characters. I loved seeing them get to know each other and learn about each other and found the romance very sweet.
The faith content in the story is subtle but also strong, depending on whether or not you're looking for it. I personally loved the references to The Light and enjoyed seeing one of the characters seek to learn more about the Light.
Overall, this book was excellent. It definitely left me excited to read the conclusion to this trilogy.
I received this book to review from the publisher/author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Good, loved the relationship between selene and damien, was SOOOOO well developed, loved seeing it grow and them becoming more used to their marriage :), my kind of romance
He walks it to her asleep in the bath tube and is mentioned that he thinks about it... not great, however, they are married.
I'm really enjoying this series so far. The characters are interesting and the plot is good. I usually have such low expectations for Christian fiction but have been pleasantly surprised with this author. Looking forward to reading the next one!
This is the 2nd in the trilogy and is a little more romantic than the first. However, it's not overdone and is not really the main plot point, either. It's more about Selene's growing power and her spiritual journey.
