3 hours ago, I was exactly halfway through this book and I swore that I was going to bed. After fighting with myself for around an hour, I picked it back up and kept on reading till the end. I HAD TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! Sleep wasn't as important as knowing how this ended. This. Is. Perfection. My feelings while reading where all over the place. One minute I was smiling, the next I was clenching my fingers together to stop my heart from aching, and the next I was crying. Only to turn the page and start the roller coaster ride all over again. SotL is utterly unique because it's a book within a book. It's unlike anything I've ever read before. Without giving away any spoilers, I can only say......This story is about true love and fate, when it's released later this year, buy it and devour it. It's perfection.
HOLYYYYYYYYY crap! Idk how it took ME so long to get to this book but I'm glad I didn't miss it! I got lost in this story within a story & it was truly amazing! Not one slow spot, so entertaining, captivating, completely adorable, heartbreaking & heartwarming all at the same time!
I can't thank Atria books for this copy enough!
Wow. Just wow.

I really enjoyed this book, but I wish it had been longer. I wanted more of the reconnection and it felt very rushed.
4.5⭐️ (seriously why can we not do half stars yet)
omg this story was so different from what i was expecting but i absolutely loved it

Ehh… mid.
Pop Sugar challenge: a book that was a gift. Was a fantastic read, couldn't put it down. Light hearted where I found myself rooting for the clear star crossed lovers could easily see this becoming the next YA movie.
Kind of a neat premise but not well executed. Young woman's lost love from childhood resurfaces when he writes a book about their relationship. Almost half of it is the book within a book, which for me was the biggest problem; it's supposed to be this blockbuster national bestseller, which is laughably hard to believe. It's very ordinary and adolescent overall. I rate this two stars based on the goodreads ranking of "it was okay," not a great book by any means, but if you're looking for something very light and quick you might enjoy it.
I literally could not put this down, Renee’s writing feels so honest and heartfelt, so natural and lived. It’s addictive. I just bought four more of her books as a result of finishing this book
What took me so long.......great book!
Just amazing! It's a love story within a love story, within a love story! Childhood sweethearts that bond over hardship and shitty upbringing but separate at 16. They reunite again 12 years later when Jase has written a love story. Em is slow to read it, but finds herself all over again. Brilliant writing that kept me up and awake but loved it.
