What a great story...it's refreshing to read something that is different. An unusual storyline that leads to that HEA that we all love by all means necessary. Wonderful work Ms. Carlino, you've acquired a new fan :)

Such a quick and great read!!! If you like Colleen Hoover, you'll LOVE this one!
I hated this book lol. The pacing was awful for one, and there were so many awkward dialogue moments I hated. I didn’t mind that I didn’t like any of the characters but when the plot also dragged and felt annoying and awkward I couldn’t get past it. I just hate literally everything that happened in this book. I’m not angry just laughing cause I’ve wanted to read this book for so long and it’s a bummer I read it finally haha.
“We can’t always control our circumstances, who our parents are, where we live, or how much money we make, but in those rare moments when we can shape our fate, when we do have the power to make our own happiness, we can’t be too scared to do it.”
Books like Swear on this Life are the reason I love reading. I felt a deep connection to this story, and hated having to put it down to get work done throughout the day. However, this didn’t stop me from speed reading it in less than 24 hours—I just had to know what happened to Jax and Emerson. Renee Carlino gives her readers a unique viewpoint by allowing us to read two stories simultaneously, always keeping us guessing about what is on the next page.

One of those books where I can see all the faults but don't care one whit about them. I positively inhaled this book. Loved the "book within a book" story and the heroine's journey. Less enamored with the hero who comes off a bit too Dude Bro Who Thinks He Knows Best for my tastes.
