3.75 AVERAGE

Oh. My. Goodness. Most likely my top favorite Tessa Bailey book by FAR. I absolutely loved the banter between Natalie and August, and how they went from enemies to true lovers. August fell fast and hard, and Natalie was cautious but also fell just as hard. The way Tessa approached a military man’s PTSD was so sensitive and well done, you’d think she was beyond familiar with the subject. I loved the way the family warmed up throughout the story and while marriage between August and Natalie was for convenience, everyone who was in the path of their romance could see it was REAL. From the start! I loved the character development, the spicy scenes, the way August worshiped the ground Natalie walked on and never let her forget it. Ugh. SWOONY at best. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read. Tessa Bailey is my fav, and this book topped the charts for me!

So much emphasis on him being a SEAL. He overreacted hearing about a past time he was in danger. Just too much he-man

I do you think this was a cute story and would give it 3.75 stars.. I found it to be a little cheesy at times. I read it because it was so hyped up on TikTok thinking it would be a solid 5 star but it didn’t land for me. Still enjoyed it though!

A firecracker of a story with honest messy characters and a great mix of vulnerability and strength.

I like the book, but I kept getting shorter-term holds come in at the library that I was prioritizing. Will try again some other time!
