The beginning chunk of the novel was really hard to get through. There were lots of names which kinda all felt similar to me and I really didn’t care about the mystery.
It improved a lot when San Lang entered the scene at about page 180 although I wish him and Xie Lian had more time together alone.
All in all I’d say this was a decent start, I find Xie Lian very charming and I’ll go on with the story.
