Folklore and Fairytales.  Cautionary tales and sweet stories.  This book is perfect for reading out loud.  Though some topics may be a bit grownup or gruesome, I think it’s still very appropriate for any age kid (or adult) who loves fantasy and adventure.  My kids asked for bedtime stories and I was terrible and thinking of something.  THIS is the thing I could have read them.  Fantastical and magical.

An excellent collection of entirely new but exquisitely classical fairytales with lessons more applicable to our modern times. Not every one is a winner IMO, but many are gems and the overall effect is cohesive and stunning.
