I thought to skip this story but since it was short & free to read on Nalini Singh's website I decided to give it a go. I am glad that I changed my opinion.
Story is short and sweet and won't mean much to someone who did not read previous books in the series. It's not a romantic moment, but family time between Rina & Kit. I love these little additional glimpses into characters lives, I hope there will be more. :)

Ah, Kit...I often wonder about his future.

A young soldier with the scent of a future alpha. Is he going away to form his own 'pack'? Is he going to fight an alpha and take over?

Questions, questions and no answers. Interesting...

All right! All right, I'll admit it! This little shorty made me tear up. It was so fun getting to peek in on Kit and Rina, they're both side characters that I've loved seeing throughout the series. The best part was their banter. Rina is such a firecracker! Oh, she has to have a book!!! Anywho. It's great that we get to see the two interact together, and I love the family bonds that are shown here. If your a faithful Psy/Changeling fan you do not want to miss this.

Oh, another freebie from the author.

Sexual Content: Some sexual humor.

5/5- Fabulous, a beautiful obsession!

Continue Series?: Yes!

An adorable little short story that gives you warm fuzzies.

I am so happy Ms. Singh wrote about Kit. I've been wanting to read more about him. I needed some kind of solid chunk about him to know that he wasn't about to turn into a power-hungry or foolish juvenile. This little clip gave me enough relief to see that he has a good head on his shoulders.

I can definitely see a book being written about Rina in the future. I hope she gets with Jon though. It's just too cute to pass up. It would be interesting to see a human (male)-changeling (female) pairing. I'm not sure how it would work out though.

Also, Ms. Singh sure seems to enjoy killing off parents. Just an observation.
